What do you think of spoilers? Personally i dont read them, i think they take the excitment and mystery out of a show!

I like to be in the know, ahead of everyone else so i always read them, sometimes i wish i hadnt, but i love to find new info cause i got a lot of spare time (boredom) on my hands, thats one of the main things i post about on forums. But i think theyre good as you find out if what you were thinking was right, altho when LOST and HEROES were on last year, i used to read all about the reviews etc..then donwload the episode and watch it, sometimes it just ruined it, so im gonna download them then look at the spoilers and review etc, just AFTER ive watched them :P

Hehe same here Terry101, my fav spoiler though was when it told us that the others live in houses!! in a sort of town on the island and saw the plane crash over head (''First 5 minutes of LOST you must see'')..since then ive been all the more into spoilers..although sometimes i have been...spoiled a little too much..(no pun intended)

I hate spoilers. Lol. I've learned not to read them. It's hard not to know what's gonna happen, but I love surprises, so...
And I hate when people tell me things I don't wanna know about shows or books. Ugh!

I get really irriated when news sites, like cnn, ruin movies and television shows with spoilers and NO WARNINGS. Even when they do post a spoiler warning, however, it still tempts you to scroll down and read. I think they really do ruin the enjoyment for the viewer.

I really only read spoilers about the shows I don't care that much about! The only spoilers I read on Lost is which person's flashback it is.

But the worst thing is when you are really proud of yourself for not reading a spoiler and then someone goes and tells you anyway >:(

I used to read spoilers all the time for Lost, all my mates came to me for the latest news, but I decided I wanted to be unspoilt for the new eps, and somehow managed to stay away from them! Though I'm sure I'll be back to reading them once the new ep airs.

Generally I don't mind spoilers if they are well marked because then I avoid them.

they're annoying, and often rubbish.
it's a bit like some film trailers, where they show all the funny jokes, all the best scene snippets, and when you watch the film, there is nothing else of good value in the film.
mind you, that's a dig at the films, not the trailers...
but does emphasise how trailers/spoilers are simply a marketing ploy for suckers!

I always read spoilers, for every show I watch, coz it's one thing reading what's gonna happen, and getting excited about seeing it, but seeing it happen when you watch the show is a completely different experience... I think maybe I'm just always in a rush to know what happens, coz being in the UK we seem to be behind everyone else in terms of quality TV shows.

I never read them, they spoils everything. I read them during the second season and the fact that I knew that, for instance, Shannon was going to die, really spoiled me the episode. So I stopped. I don't even watch the previews anymore.

I hate spoilers. The plots and stories of shows are supposed to be shown by the natural progreesion of the show. It takes the surprise, suspense and enjoyment out of a show when you already know whats going to happen in it. I much prefer to experience the show the way the crew wants us to, rather than finding out a different way too early.

On the other hand, I love speculating about the outcomes of show and reading others' speculations. I think that it is interesting when it is not definitely going to happen but it reflects on the show in general to predict conclusions, etc.

i got spoilered alot the time LOST S2 was aired here in germany an i was surfing through the internet to find information on the programm, but you could read so much about the all the other episodes (S3 was already on in the us). but thanks to you people, i am now able to watch my programms right after they show was on us-tv. :D i just have to catch up. ;)

I do frequently spoilers but unlike other people it doesn't really spoil my enjoyment. I can read a spoiler and happily watch something without feeling like excitement has be detracted from it. In some cases reading a spoiler can make me more anticipated towards watching it. I guess I'm slightly strange.
