or if u jus wanna discuss the media players which u like and dislike then please do so here
hmmm well in the past i have used real player and windows media play but now i use winamp or vlc player for some video types
vlc is the most useful media player i think..it can even fix broken avi files

i find vlc capable of playing any movie file, with no skipping.
the most versitile player.
I used to use Windows Media Player but it was kind of rubbish, not playing all files etc, so now I use Real Player :)
I love your new sig Richard it's dead good :)
vlc, quicktime and iTunes

windows media pleyer and quick time player .wmp lately is not working propetly lots or restarts
I use iTunes for music, athlough am told WinAmp is a lot better. I've had quite a few problems with iTunes actually, it regularly causes my system to crash (I say regularly, perhaps once a month, but that's bad enough I'd say).
I use VLC for videos, purely because it plays pretty much anything, and is of course freeware.
I use Windows Media Player for Lost, Prison Break etc. Although I use VLC sometimes when WMP has trouble playing them.

wmp is good but I like winamp too.
I'm using VLC player on my mac and its absolutely horrible. It crashes all the time and displays the same error for a file I'm not even playing (and it says to disable it but even if you click it, it doesn't go away...) and I have yet to find an alternative. On my pc, vlc is much better but I like using winamp.
I use DivX, as it has a useful compact mode, although occasionally the sound goes out of synch with the picture, however that's fixed easily by pressing rewind and then play in quick succession.
For music I use iTunes, as I have an iPod, and am too lazy to use a different player to listen and to update my ipod with. Also it has the lost podcasts streamed to it (yes I'm sad) (yes, I also know there are plugins for WMP and winamp to update iPods, however, they don't seem to work with mine (3g mini).)
i use windows media player/itunes to listen to my music.... maily WMP though
and i use VLC to watch my tv episodes... its the best one by far for the avi files
I am using Windows Media 11 and itunes. Both are quite cool products.
windows media player 11 ...its the best 1
itunes and VLCmedia player for avi files. The latter saves you from any trouble with codecs.
i use windows media player for video's etc and i use Sony's Sonic Stage for my music

It depends on what I am watching but I normally tend to stick with DivX, but I also use Windows player and real player on occasion.

Mainly Windows Media Player, but if i ever watch DVDs, i watch them on vlc, WMP usually locks them! :(
Real player for videos and winamp for music.
Windows media player most of all, best interface IMO and have always used this media player.
VLC media player works for eveything.

I use Divx player as it blacks out everything apart from the movie window. However, even tho I have a reasonably high end lap-top, there is occasional jerkyness to the picture, very apparent in scenes with lots of movement, can anyone give any help to solve this? Thanks

I use the new Windows Media Player 11 for nearly everything, apart from when i'm missing codecs which is when VLC player comes in handy. I think the sleek new design of WMP is really good and is certainly an improvement on the old colour style :D
I'm using VLC player on my mac and its absolutely horrible. It crashes all the time and displays the same error for a file I'm not even playing
I had the same problems on my Mac until i got the newer version of VLC. It comes up with an error every now and then but it doesn't effect the video playing.

Media Player Classic. A modern day version of the old 6.4 media player that can play pretty much anything including Quicktime.
Mediaplayer classic, simply the best ;)
with plugin - if necesarry- can play anything, also adjust subtitles 'in screen', ...
I love it!

I use winamp for my music, Windows Media Player for my videos, sometimes Realplayer, but I just got VLC, taking it for a test drive for a while.
VLC player is probably the best around. That or Media player classic. They play just about everything.
I like Windows Media Player...
ooh and Yahoo Music Player, I quite like it.

Music and podcasts in itunes.
AVI's in Media Player (10, I'm not gonna upgrade it)
MP4s in Quicktime
Also Divx player sometimes.
I absolutely hate Real Player with a passion. The only problem is I've got AOL on my computer so if I uninstall Real then everytime I use AOL it reinstalls it. When I switch to mac I'm not gonna bother with AOL, I'll just use the website to read my emails lol
I use VLC media player, sometimes PowerDVD.
I love the simpleness of those two programs, I can't stand WMP to play videos. :(
Well i like WMP11, its cool and by having nero ultr edition install with nero
show time, WMP gets most of the codecs you with need, apart from that for dvd i gota use Power DVD for panscan.
Havent yet tried VLC player though but seems to be metioned alot, so def gona
download it.
I watch all my TV shows on VLC player. its pretty good.

For audio, I use windows media player 11.But for playing videos, media player classic is the best for me. Just add proper codec and any video format are easily played.
I'm still addicted to the ol' good media player 6.4 (mplayer2.exe, still on the 2k and XP computers)
i use real player for all my rmvb files and vlc player for avi files. both works fine with me :D

I use Windows media player, switched around for bit, but the new wmp is fine when coupled with the xp dix encoder pack which is free, just search on google. Also d/l audio encoders, and now i've never had a file that wont play with sound.

I use Windows Media Player, seems to be much better when running on Windows Vista
VLC is the best media player
iTunes is the best for music and organisation, obv..primarily for the iPod itself, but great all around :)
